Robert Butterfield Director

Robert joined Clarke Renner Architects in 1988, having already accumulated a wealth of specification writing and job running experience on numerous projects, ranging from healthcare and multi-storey apartments, through to delicate refurbishments.

He became a Director in 1999 and having earned a reputation for his efficient pro-active approach to the construction process.

He has also attended a Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings Repair course and a Green Register Sustainable Building and Services course, thus establishing an invaluable knowledge not only of traditional building techniques, but also of the latest demands of energy efficiency and building regulations.

Robert’s very wide range of expertise includes working on conservation refurbishments and extensions from design conception, right through to project completion, including the detailing and specifying of the proposed works sensitively and in keeping with the existing building fabric.
